Design Consultation

Chuck Miller is a National Association of Home Builders Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS).

The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry: home modifications for aging-in-place.

The baby boom generation has many choices as this large population considers where to live — but overwhelmingly, seniors would prefer to stay in their own homes. The CAPS designation offers you reassurance that the CAPS designee can help you make the choices that will help you stay in your home safely and securely.

In addition, the CAPS designation helps you make your home more “visitable.” Even if you don’t think you need additional task lighting, grab bars, and other home modifications for your own use, your family members and visitors might. As a CAPS, Chuck Miller can help you make the right choices.

As a CAPS, Chuck has the knowledge and experience to assist you and your architect, designer, remodeler, or builder in the design of your home to incorporate universal design features. Universal design is the design of products and environments to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design.

Construction Oversight

In addition to assisting with the design, Chuck also offers construction oversight working with your builder or remodeler to insure the universal design features are properly constructed.
