I have served as an expert witness on twenty-eight (28) cases since 2017. Ten (10) of those cases are still pending. Thirteen (13) were settled before going to court. And six (6) were dismissed.

What qualifies me as an construction expert witness?
The dictionary defines an expert as:
“Somebody who has a broad and deep understanding and competence in terms of knowledge, skill and experience through practice and education in a particular field or area of study.”
Physicist Neils Bohr defined an expert as “a man who has made all the mistakes, which can be made, in a very narrow field.”
My experience includes single and multi-family residential, mixed-use, commercial, and institutional projects across the United States. During my 56+ years in the construction industry, I have made my share of mistakes. But I have also learned from them and from the mistakes of others.
I was retained by the Idaho Contractors Board in 2008 to review consumer complaints against contractors. From 2008 through 2022, I reviewed 1,077 consumer complaints against contractors. I provided my professional opinion and assessment of the contractor’s the contractor’s conduct, the quality of the contractor’s work, compliance with applicable building codes, state and local laws, the Board’s rules and code of ethics, and the ethical appropriateness of the consumer/contractor relationship
I have pursued professional education through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and have earned 11 of NAHB’s professional designations:
Not only have I earned 11 professional designations, I am an instructor and licensed provider and instructor of NAHB courses.
In addition to being an instructor, I have served as Principal Writer for a new NAHB course titled “Residential Construction Industry Fundamentals” and the course titled “The Project Schedule As A Planning and Communication Tool.”
